I'm On My Knees, Looking For The Answer; I'm Dancer

My mother has amazing vegan food at her apartment, yummmm. Anyway, happy last day of November.

I was going to go get my December cheque from my mother, but then I got super lazy and now it's late.

Lazy Sunday. Whatever.

There was a mini blizzard earlier.

I talked to Stephanie for a while and she's convinced me that backstage really isn't that cool.

Sorry I'm boring.

On the bright side; ROT does lip tattoos. I'm getting "DANCER" because let's face it: I'm not human. I'm dancer.

On the other bright side, I'm getting inky tomorrow. Boss.

Black Friday? More Like Black Plague

Turkey massacre day I woke up bright and early...ish and picked up my mother from her apartment. We drove out to Grass Lake to have dinner with my Godparents... among other people. On the way there, my friend Jeremy called and asked what people were supposed to do on Thanksgiving. I told him that people watch the Thanksgiving Day parade, eat turkey, and go to the movies. Which reminded me that my mother and I had totally and completely forgotten to do that. We decided that we'd go see Twilight after dinner since my mother hadn't seen it yet.

When we got to the house, only a few people were there and NOONE recognized me. It was rather hilarious... maybe it was because I had a hat on, I don't know. But anyway, I hung out with Eva, my Godsister for a while and then Genevive arrived and we talked forever. Genevive is basically my Godsister as well. Dinner was pretty good. Genevive and I are both vegetarians so we had salad and cranberry stuff with bread instead of turkey. It was good.

For desert, I had three peices of pie, apple, pumpkin, and blueberry. After desert, my mom and I left and drove straight to the movies, we walking in 10 minutes after it started, but whatever. After the movie, we went back to her apartment and I decided to stay the night since I was super tired. We watched Little Miss Sunshine and then 3:10 to Yuma, and I had 2 bags of microwave popcorn, which was really great at the time.

The next morning I woke up at 6:30 in complete agony. I decided to go chill in my mom's room on her bed since she had a blanket. She wasn't there, but two hours later when she got home, I threw up all over her bed. I'd sort of thought I had lost the ability to do so to be honest. The last time I threw up was when I was in 5th grade which was 7 years ago. However, throwing up reminded me just how much I prefer throwing up to seeing someone else do it. Apparently that's unusual.

Anyway, I guess I had the stomach flu because I felt like crap the entire day, and I had a ridiculous fever until about 1 in the morning. But I feel great now. Anyway, I'll probably go home either tonight or tomorrow night, I'm not really sure. But I'm currently in the "library" on the computer since my mother's sucks and she doesn't have the internet anyway.

I'm probably not going to eat popcorn for a while... I still don't drink grape gatorade.

<3

Ahhhh!!! I love this song and the movie from which it comes!!!

...But That's Because You're A Hottie From Hottingham.

I can't blog good without my headphones... fuck fuckkitt.

Hey Jane. I baked you a cake to represent our love. It's burned, but that's because you're a hottie from Hottingham. OMG. YES.

I've been slightly in love with that commercial since last Valentine's day and I FINALLY found it to show Libby. I had to post it here. Watch.

This morning I woke up crazy early, took a shower, got my shit together, and drove to 7-11 near the HS to pick up Carol. Yay hot chocolate. There was this sweet dude with highlighter orange hair and we talked for a minute.

Ahhh... music.
It makes
My heart pound.
My skin burn.
My lips twitch.
My muscles go limp.

Anyway. Blogging.

So I parked a little ways away from the school, walked up there drinking my hot chocolate, blasting my headphones, and smoking a halfie. At which point I was high and slipping on ice. Yay! So I get there a bit early and just hang out in the freezing cold for a while which was fun. After a while, school was let out and Carol came and got me. We went to my car, which kind of exploded inside, and went to my house. She had tequila. I had the internet. So we were both drunk off of something.

Jacky came downstairs in his boxers. Hilarity ensued.

We got fries and then went to the tattoo studio to see if John was there. He wasn't and wouldn't be in until 6 so we went back to my house and played video games. Carol won. Then I danced to Michael Jackson. It was scary. I promise.

We went back to the tattoo studio and hung out with Ray for a bit before John got there. He took pictures. I'm getting the other wing shaded on Monday.

We were going to go pick up my phone from some lady, but her address and information got gone... oops. I don't really need that phone anyway.

Alex and I were talking tattoos and she wants a lip tattoo that says sin in German. I want one that says "AVADA KEDAVRA" because I'm a dork like that... I fucking love Harry Potter. I don't even care. I'm re-reading the last book at present. I love it! So... that gets added to my list of 16 other tattoos I have in mind... haha. I'm so iiinkky! I love it!

Nights yo. Happy American Thanksgiving!

Are You Sure You're Okay Annie?

So... I don't even remember what happened yesterday...

Well... okay, I might know a little.

So, I had this kind of creepy dream... it wasn't quite a nightmare, but I definitely wouldn't want to have it again. So, The Killers were over for thanksgiving dinner, and so Brandon and I are in the dining room, and we start eating early, because everyone else is busy in the kitchen for some reason. Anyway, the butler comes in (wtf?) and is all like, "Oh... Sir and Miss, that food hasn't been properly de-grasshoppered yet!" and I'm like, uh... what? So he takes tweezers and gets these huge green grasshoppers out of our food and I'm like ew, fuck this. Can you say in dream panic attack? Yeah... So I went upstairs and when I came back down, it was just my parents and the rest of the band and Brandon had already left. It sucked.

Anyway, after that trippy dream, I woke up for real and my hair was scary as hell. I promise. I have picture proof. But I'm not posting them because I look like a crack-head.

So, anyway, I get dressed, get some food, thaw it in the microwave, and since our oven is full of pots and pans, I take it over to mum's house and use her oven instead since she isn't home while also collecting all my stuff that I left there since she wants it all "out, out, out" or whatever. Anyway, food was good. Lilu was home which is always adorable. since half the time I'm there he's out on some adventure with dead animals... and then he brings them home to continue the fun... right.

After I left, I came back home heavily dosed with Nyquil. Yum. I surfed the web for a second after that, and then, instead of going to Anthropology class, I fell asleep with my headphones on and had another trippy dream. So, I'm like doing this weird team scavenger hunt and I got paired up with this weird guy who kept trying to talk to me, only, my headphones were on so I couldn't hear him, so I tried to pause my iPod, but that didn't work, so I just took off my headphones... BUT THE MUSIC DIDN'T STOP!!! It was way weird. So I was just kind of like, umm... write it down, so he took out markers and drew all over my hand, but I never really got to read what it said, because then I woke up... to discover that my headphones were blaring music into my ears. No wonder I thought I was music!deaf.

Anyway, it was like... 10:30 maybe when I woke up, so I surfed the webbie for a little bit and then passed out again. It's 8 am and I have nothing to do, but on the bright side, I feel a shitton better than I did yesterday!

Oh, and my anti-anxiety medication came in the mail or something, so when Carol comes over today and drinks too much and throws up, I probably won't mind all that much... and I know she will because EVERY SINGLE TIME anyone gets drunk around me, someone throws up. And I have a panic attack and freak out. It's worse when I'm drunk too... but that only happened once and I'd rather not recount it right now. Maybe later...

Oh... and I'm totally listening to Shake It.

Suckiness...

Why is it, that no matter how much I drink, and no matter how quickly I drink, I only barely get tipsy and only for 10 minutes at the most? I think I might be cursed... I mean, I don't enjoy being drunk, but I've only ever been drunk once... fuck my life.

Silently Reflection Turns My World To Stone

Today I woke up at 8 am, feeling positively ghastly, checked my facebook, and promptly went back to sleep until noon. At noon, I woke up still feeling like complete and utter crap. Great. I had a fun conversation with Jeremy though, which was a plus.

I went downstairs to make something to eat and discovered that the oven was entirely full of pots and pans… I didn’t know people actually did that, but now I know where the pots are for next time I want to make soup. I was feeling a little better at around 3 after having had a whole bunch of ice cream and hot chocolate powder to eat, so I rang up my mother and told her that instead of having sushi with her tomorrow for lunch, I thought we should have it tonight for dinner. She agreed, so that was settled.

I’m pretty glad that I brought my sleeping bag with me when I moved instead of packing it up, because I can honestly say that I think if I hadn’t, I might have had frost bite by now as my house lacks central heating, or any heat for that matter. My roommates keep telling me to buy a space heater but I really don’t have the money and with the sleeping bag and sweatshirts that I’m constantly enclosed in when I’m home, only my hands get cold, which I can totally deal with. I’m not entirely sure how this affects my immune system, but I’ll be gone in January, so I’m sure it can’t be all that bad.

Half-way between youtube and television, I remembered just how much I love Michael Jackson’s music. But then again, I love all music. I related this to Libby and she realized how much she also loves Michael Jackson’s music. The best part about his music, is that it’s all so easy to dance to. I also got to thinking how hilarious I look doing a lip curl… and how amusing it is that I actually convinced a security guard that I am Elvis Presley’s (illegitimate) granddaughter because of it, but I could be, who knows; I was adopted, talking of which, my biological mother would now be about 36, interesting.

I went to my parents’ house and we loaded some things into my car and then I headed out to the sushi restaurant with my mother. I stuffed myself with rice and veggies and then took a shivery walk around the corner to the Starbucks to get some hot chocolate and a cappuccino for my mother. I was warm and toasty on the way back. I got my mum and we went to the parking garage and got my car then drove to her apartment.

I helped her load things out of the car and brought them into her apartment for her. Stole some soymilk. And then left. Just before I got home, I stopped into a 7-11 and got a huge disgusting multi-flavor slurpee. It was 40 oz of blue raspberry, cherry, and something orangey. Delicious! Anyway, since the 7-11 is right around the corner from my house , I’ll probably frequent it from now on.

Anyway, I was listening to Metro Station on the way home and came to the conclusion that even though The Killers and Silverstein are my two favourite bands, Shake It is decidedly my favourite song. I can listen to it all day, every day… and sometimes I do.

ps. thanks for reading my blog Rob!!!

A Gold Heart Never Rusts

So... this morning I woke up at 5 am, went back to sleep until 10, and when I finally did wake up, I came to the conclusion that I'm rather ill. Carol called and we had a lovely conversation that lasted forever, which is always fun. She's agreed to come with me to get my back shaded on wednesday.

I read for a while and then decided I wanted sushi. I called mother to see if she wanted to come and get sushi with me, she did, but the sushi place was closed, so we're going for dinner tomorrow night. I read some more and then discovered that the new Killers album came out a few days ago, so I downloaded it.

I burned a copy and since I couldn't get the last two songs, I added two completely unrelated singles. Broken Stars by Silverstein, and Capture by Off The Zodiac, my friend's band. I brought it over to her at her new apartment, which is a pretty boss place. I ate her food, played with her electric chair... haha, and taught her how to use the microwave.

I went home and talked to Libby online, then I had the most amusing audio chat with Brandon of Forever In A Day. Apparently he's super drunk and in the studio recording a christmas song, but misses talking to me... which is interesting, because I was rather under the impression that he was ignoring me, but whatevers. It's possibly because my mother canceled my texting, oh well. It was a very amusing conversation which continued to be amusing after it switched to a normal typing chat.

Anyway, due to the fact that I feel like crap, I'll probably go downstairs and get some rum as it always seems to make me tired, and then go to sleep.

Only You Can Make Every New Day Seem So New

It's still freezing, which is an excellent sign. I can't wait until there is enough snow to go snowboarding. I only went once last winter... a very depressing thought considering my excellent board. It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen and I've only gotten to use it twice.

Every New Day, by Five Iron Frenzy is currently fueling my brain. It reminds me of Ben... I miss him. I wish I had gotten to see him in Grand Rapids when I was there last week. Oh well. This song is so amazing... as is the band. Ska is so badass.

So this morning I woke up super late... like... 11:45 because I stayed up hideously late last night. Until about 5 am. I'll be going to bed earlier tonight. But anyway, after I was awake, I went to Alex's house to cut and dye her hair for her. I gave her this pretty cool layered look and took off an inch or so from the bottom, she seemed to really like it, which was good.

After that, we had adventures in bleaching and then I showed her the music video for Situations, which is always fun. After that, we went to my parents' house for a mo. and then went back to her house to dye her hair purple. When we were done with hers, we decided to dye mine too. Purple mohawk. Hell. Yes.

I went back to my parents' house to get food and then bring the rest of my boxes upstairs. After I was done, I came back home. Since it's a Saturday night, I might listen to the Bay City Rollers and drink rum... but I'll probably just sleep.

Twishit?

This update is coming to you live from Libby's house. Thank you to Libby for the use of her computer, and Libby's parents for paying the internet bills and buying said computer.

Yesterday, I was supposed to apply for my social insurance card thingy... that didn't go so well. The website was super confusing... I'll do it later. Anyway, after a long time of just bumming around on the internet at my house, I called up Libby and decided that we should go see the midnight premiere of Twilight. Her mom said yes. Yay! So then I went home to get money from my mother.

At my parents' house, my mother decided to make me carry up a bunch of boxes before I could go to Libby's. She took my keys away. As if that would stop me. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. It didn't. I went and got my pants from my car and then brought some boxes up stairs. I got $$$ from mum, and then went to Libby's house, stopping for gasoline along the way.

At Libby's I talked to Alex, whose hair I'm going to do tomorrow. After a while, Libby, her brother, and I piled into my car after smooshing the McCain Palin signs into the back so that Josh could fit. There were a bunch of crazy people there, but there was this awesome lady down the row who asked me about my tattoos. Sweet. We threw some popcorn at some dumbasses who screamed when it was half an hour until show time.

The movie was pretty good. Robert Pattinson is not HALF as sexy with an American accent. It was awful. But yeah... the movie was good. Despite the fact that I hate Nikki Reed with a passion, she was okay.

So at like... 2:30 in the morning, we went back to Libby's and after attempting to watch Kill Bill Volume 1 unsuccessfully, we passed out in her livingroom. At about 7 am I woke up cramped on her little love seat, so I moved to the floor and we slept until about 11. We went out for Starbucks and I bought a new insulated cup while I was there since the lid to my old one is MIA and probably will stay that way forever.

We came back and watched Casino Royale for a while, and then her grandmothers came over. One is french or something? I dunno, but anyway, her mom banished us to her room which is where we currently are, having misadventures with her acoustic guitar and cello. The only song I can play on the guitar is Seven Nation Army... and only the bass line. Go me.

Down Down Turn Around

So yesterday morning, I woke up bright and early and had to wait until 11 or so to go into the shop and get one of my wings shaded. It seemed to take forever... I hate waiting.

On the bright side though, I went in right when they opened and didn't have to wait at all. John shaded the left wing today. Yay. I took pictures during breaks. With only parts of it shaded, it looked a bit like a Da Vinci sketch... which was super sweet.

Half-done.

I got a bit bored...

Finally!

So next week I'm going in to get the other one shaded... and I'll have to give him his money at some point... $100 for each wing. I rock. I roll. I rule.

So after that, I went to my parents' house to move more of my stuff into the guest room... however, after mum left, I convinced mother that my back hurt too much to move boxes, so we should go to the cinema and see the new James Bond movie.

It was good for a movie, but not a good Bond movie. It was basically a direct sequel from Casino Royale, which is really dumb, because Bond movies are supposed to be stand alones. But oh well. The guy who had to clean the theatre was ever so glad that I brought my trash down so that he didn't have to clean it up... it's just a basic common courtesy and human duty really... pick up your shit when you're done with it.

So yeah... went to parents' house after that and watched Bones. Some lady got shoved into a microwave on an aeroplane. Gross! There was this old lady who was obsessed with murder... it was pretty funny. Anyway, after that, I was super tired and kind of felt like puking because I had too much popcorn at the movies, so I just stayed the night.

This morning when I woke up, I couldn't find my blackberry... shit? Finally I found it under the couch in the TV room. Haha, score. Anyway... I'm home right now, but after I fill out something online, it's back to mums' house to pack up. Sucky...

On a bright, shiny note though, Thomas has promised to visit me in Toronto after I move. =]

Making Christmas

I have no idea when I last updated this blog… whether it was before Friday or after. It makes a huge difference, so I guess I’ll just blog for Friday and if it turns out that I already did, I’ll just delete the section, because currently I’m sitting in Anthropology and I have no internet access. Suckage!!!!

Never mind. I just got half-way through Friday before I remembered that I had already blogged about it. Oh well…

So… Saturday I woke up bright and early, went home, packed some clothes and such, then went to pick up mum. I drove to the Walkerville station in Windsor. It smells like beer there… oh yum! I love that smell.

The train ride there wasn’t too bad. My headphones broke. Great. When we got there, it was rainy and gross. Fun… We took, a taxi to our hotel, put our stuff in the room, and then ventured out into the rain to eat yummy vegan food at Fressen on Queen West. We got there and it was totally booked up. Great…

Oh, I forgot to mention… for some reason, I was under the (mistaken) impression that it would be rather warm and balmy in Toronto, so all I brought was a sweatshirt. Fun.

We walked around in the freezing cold rain for a little while before getting a cab. The driver was from Africa or something and didn’t really speak English very well, so we basically spewed out a bunch of bull shit at him. He told my mother that I’m very pretty and look like Boy George. Great…

So anyway, we decided just to go back to the hotel and eat there. The food was pretty good and The Notebook was on TV in the restaurant. After dinner, we went upstairs and watched TV until we fell asleep.

The next morning, we had breakfast at Eaton and went out to find an internet café and check out Craig’s List. I found a place pretty quickly and called to see when I could go check it out. It’s in an amazing neighbourhood two feet away from Yonge between College and Dundas, right down the street from Eaton and 2 underground stations.

I got the place. It’s a 4-story building with 1 porch and 2 balconies. I have 9 roommates and I’m moving in January. It’s a short walk from anywhere I could possibly want to go. After that, we went shopping at Eaton. I got 2 way cute shirts at Boathouse. One says “Kiss Me, I don’t smoke.” And the other is just really cute and has cassette tapes on it. I also got a boss new pair of green and black Skull Candy headphones; my signature accessory, as I was the first person to have a pair that I know. It’s my 4th pair… well, sort of, my 3rd pair were just ear buds. We mostly hung out in the hotel after that and watched Hancock before going to sleep.

Monday morning, we had breakfast in the hotel and then went to check out Marvel. After a terrifying subway ride, we got there. Now, I love subways, but traveling with mum and her ridiculous walker which, I have to carry up and down all the stairs with her is a pain in the fucking ass. I hate it.

The director was super nice and he really liked me. I’m so excited to start school there. He was like, “You’re kind of a funky person...” and I’m like, yeah totally, so he’s like, “Yes… I’m checking you out. You should probably work somewhere on Queen West,” and I was like, hell yeah.

So after that, we went shopping again, then I went and met with my landlord Marco. After that, I met mum back at Eaton, we went shopping more and then had some food. I found a new tattoo artist. He’s like Miss Kitty and used to work in a real shop, but now works out of his apartment. Bombass! I'm so fucking cheap... haha. So then we went back to the hotel and I forced mother to watch The Dark Knight with me as she hadn’t seen it yet.

This morning, I nearly killed mum by dropping Pieter Van Den Hoogenband’s name while she was drinking her coffee. Nice… We packed up our stuff and headed out to the train station. We got to board first since she is handi-capped. Sweetness.

The train ride was pretty boring since my internet doesn’t seem to be working… grrr!! I’ll need to get that fixed…

Anyway, I talked to Libby for a while and managed to drop my phone and pop it out of the case while I was falling over mum to get to the bathroom. I talked to Libby and Carol for a while after that before getting home. Yay home.

I only had an hour or so at home before I had to go to Anthropology, which is where I am now. On my way here, though, I called John over at Ink Slingers and checked to make sure that he is free tomorrow. He is, and I’m going over to get one of my wings shaded. Although I don’t really have the money yet, I will soon and I’ll make sure to give him half of my weekly pay each week in December. Yay! I’ll be so glad to have $100 per week instead of $50 like I have now. I’m glad he’ll do it even if I don’t quite have the money yet. He <3s me!

Anyway… this class sucks, so I’m probably going to leave and go home to upload this online and then talk to people online and be a dork. Yay! My battery is dying…

Yeah... I left class. Now I'm talking about sex with Libby and watching A Nightmare Before Christmas.

Cracked Ribs

So, this morning, I think I woke up at 3 am or so, maybe. I had to wait until 9 to go to the bank and get money, and then I left at 10. The drive was shorter than it was to Cleveland, but the distance was further... weird! I basically went through all my CD's and listened to Metro Station the whole time. I totally got lost because my GPS told me that the venue was an empty grassy hill. I had to ask some people in a gas station where it was and they directed me right to it. When I got there, I stayed in my car for a while to do my make up, which later got totally spattered and ruined and I probably looked like a total freak, but I'm sure everyone understands.

So anyway, I met some cool girls when I walked out to get in line at about 2. They were all 15 and let me sit with them. After a while, Shane, followed not so closely by Max walked into what we thought was a sports store. One of the girls and I decided to take a bathroom break then. We walked into the sports store thinking, how hard could this be? And discovered that we had just walked into a mall... dammit.

We stalked around for a little while then went to the bathroom. After, we came out and were walking back to the entrance when we saw Shane. We started giggling and whispering and turned around to find some old man right behind us who was decidedly not Shane Told. I was like, "Oh... hi." Haha. I'm such a dork. Anyway... that was fun. We decided to go into a skate shop to look at the snowboards and Max was in there. Apparently he wears glasses. Adorable. Anyway, we talked for a bit, because... I dunno... he knows me and is nice like that. His mom went to the Chicago show and got drunk or something, so that wasn't good. But we got hugs and then headed back into the line.

I was wearing shorts and got pretty cold, so this rather adorable kid gave us a blanket, then we talked for a while and he was pretty interesting. He sped up the long wait very well with stories of how the back of his van is morally dirty and he's never even done anything in it. Gross!

When it was finally time to go in, we got centre left as usual, stage right, that is. This old lady and some girl with glasses who had never been to a hxc show were right behind me. I was like, um... you realize that the crowd is not going to stay spaced like this, right? We convinced them to leave half way through A Skylit Drive, because really, it was only about to get worse. This is the craziest venue I've ever been to! For their last song, they decided it would be a great idea to announce that there should be a crowd surfing contest. Thanks...

I got pushed a little further away during Alesana... okay, I got pushed way far away, which only got worse during Escape The Fate. This adorable kid next to me was like, "Don't worry, I'll get you to your spot." It was so cute! So yeah, thank god for Craig. He decided to stand in the crowd and everyone moved right so that I was way more center than I had been before. Bomb. Ass.

It took a while for Silverstein to set up, but once they did, it was epic. Josh walked across the stage, and I was like, "JOSH! JOSH!!!!" he noticed me and waved. He's so nice, I love him! Anyway, I saw Paul and Billy backstage as well which was cool. They were sooo good though. I love this band. They played Love With Caution, as ever. Which totally rocks, because if they hadn't, I probably would have cried. During the second to last song, I got my hat and backed the fuck up out of there. I went to the back and crowd surfed my way forward. Not the best idea as it wasn't packed very much toward the back and I got dropped. However, I am amazing and naturally landed on my feet. I was like, "AGAIN, AGAIN!" so they lifted me up and launched me forward again. It was so ace.

After that, I went to the merch tables, stopping on my way to talk to Dennis of Alesana. He's nice. I got 2 t-shirts, but the hoodie I wanted was sold out... seeing as they had only started with 2 in the first place... hahaha. Anyway, I met Billy. Which basically rocked. I was like, "Can I have a hug? It would make my decade... like, the whole thing." I'm such a dork, anyway, he did give me a hug... and it was awkward because I didn't really want to let go. I asked him how many tattoos he had, and although he does know that he has them all over, he doesn't count. Which is a fine answer! Then Paul came by and gave me a high five and I told him I like the way he plays, and he signed my shirt and gave me a hug. After that, Josh came by and he totally remembers me!!! Haha, score. He's soooooooooo nice! But I already knew that. He was like, hmmm... I know you but where from? And I was like, Detroit! And he's like, "oh yeah, we talked FOREVER." And I was like, yup. He has lots of tattoos too. More than me, less than Billy. He has a tofu tattoo as well! It's adorable and a half.

After that, I saw the guy from Detroit who helped me crowd surf the first time and had been standing behind me when I first saw this concert a month ago. He and his buddy had been talking to Craig. I forgot he loves Escape The Fate. Good for him! Anyway, after talking to the guitar player from A Skylit Drive for a while, I left and went home. I think I fell asleep for like.... 2 seconds twice while I was driving, so I turned on a light and talked to some friends on the phone.

I'll be in Toronto for the entire weekend. We'll see how that goes...

Flying Shoes

Last night, I went to sleep at about 5 pm. I woke up at 12 am and could. not. sleep.

I did nothing until about 4 at which point I took a shower and got dressed. At 4:30 I went and picked up Corey from his house. We got gasoline and were on the road by about 5. We got there at 8:30 am and the city was empty. We walked around for a few hours. I was totally buggin' because there were already tour busses at the HOB. Fuck yeah.

At about 10 we went to Quiznos and got foodage... talking of which... my sandwich is still in my car somewhere. Fortunately, it's cold enough out that it should be fine until later when I go and get it. It was a yummy sandwich. Two tour busses pulled up behind the venue at about 10:30 or so, I guess and I was super excited. I found some fun little people to hang with because I was getting kind of tired of Corey. He's soooooo annoying.

Mallory and Melanie were their names, I think. Anyway, they were waiting outside of the HOB eatery because if you buy food, you get in first. So, after a while, we joined them. I had a salad. We had this awesome waiter who was like, here... have some free tickets and use this other table's receipt. I was like, okay then! We waited outside for two hours until it was 2:30. But during that time, Mallory stole Corey's hat, put it on my head, and I went running with it. He caught up and got it, and I was like, "But I still have your hoodie!" So then he was chasing me again and like, behind the HOB there are some restaurants and this creeper was like, peering into the window of one of them, and I screamed because Corey was chasing me and the creeper is like, "WOAH!!!! AAAAHHHH!!" it was the funniest moment of my life. I almost peed.

So anyway, we waited in the cold room forever. The lead singer of Alesana walked by which was fun. I had no idea who he was. Shane walked by. I was too shocked to say anything. Craig was walking by signing autographs and stuff, so we went and gave him Sour Patch Kids candy that M&M had gotten him. He gave the three of us hugs, and then stopped by us in line on his way out to tell us to come to his merch table after the show.

Mallory and I heard music, so we went out into the hall and it was fucking stein!!!! They were playing Broken Stars and sounded AMAZING. I screamed and totally freaked out. Haha, like... I kind of leaned against a wall and slid down it and sat there shaking until some lady was like, oh, here, sit on this wall instead. It was amazing and they sounded SOOOOOO effing good. OMG.

So after that, we went back in and waited until 6. We were like... 4th in and were right against the barrier to the left of centre. Perfect!!! So A Skylit Drive was first and they were awesome. Jag is so pretty. After them, Alesana played. They were all wearing the same thing and they looked HOTTT. I um... totally molested Shawn. He was standing on the barrier, and like... yeah... it was right there. After the show, I told him, and he was like, oh, that's not bad. I once got stuck and this girl was trying to get her hand through the zipper in my pants, but I wear girl pants with small zippers, so it didn't fit. Creepy!!!

Escape The Fate was on next. Max Green is so divine. Right when they started playing though, I looked over Max's shoulder and Billy was watching from back stage. Shane was there too. I flipped out and started crying. It was kind of crazy. Like... I was literally sobbing and jumping up and down. I was like, wow, I'm such a spaz; but they're a bit like the Beatles when I'm in concert mode. Otherwise, I'm cool... haha. But watch out if I'm in a pit of sweaty people against a barrier, I can't make any promises since I just kind of throw myself completely into it.

So it took FOREVER and a day for Silverstein to set up. But when they did, they were AMAZING. Ohmygod. Billy dances so crazy, I love it. I need to take head banging lessons from Josh... I don't know how he manages to do that while playing. I would fall over. But yeah... they were epic. There was this adorable guy behind me and I let him put his arms around me, haha. They played a bunch of awesome old songs, but they also played Broken Stars, of course. It was great. I was sooo super excited because they played Love With Caution, and that's totally my song. Epicness!!! It was so fucking mint. Shane did My Heroine acoustic, and then the rest of the band came back and finished it electric.

Gah... it was just so good. So after, Shane was throwing water bottles into the crowd, and I was screaming his name, and he looked right at me and tossed me the last one, and it bounced off of my fucking hand. I was like DAMMIT! Epic fail for me. I left straight after that and went to hang out by the merch tables. I chilled with Stephanie and Amanda. Stephanie taught me how blackberry messenger works. If only I had someone to talk to... haha.

So Max came in from having a smoke and got ambushed by some girls wanting a pic, so I waited until they were done then walked through the little crowd and was like, Hey Max. He was like, ooh! hey! And grabbed me for a hug. We talked for a bit and he totally remembered me. I think it's because of what I asked by accident last time... hahaha. I met some other little Stein fans which was fun. Jag remembered me... well, everyone remembered me pretty much. Apparently I'm amazing.

I was SOOOO pissed though. Silverstein dipped out the door like... 10 seconds after they got off stage and didn't even go by the merch tables. I found out like... 20 minutes later that they were gone and I was sooo mad. But whatever. We left and I got tired of driving, so when we stopped for gas, I parked at the Maccas across the street and slept for 3 hours. It was so punk rock, haha. After that, I finished driving home, managed not to get lost in Detroit for once, and got home at about 7 in the morning. Fun stuff. Tonight, I'm making vegan cookies for Friday so that Billy can have some too and I'm going to bed early!!!

<3

edit: made cookies. ate them all. were amazing.

The Death Of A Life

Yesterday is finally yesterday and this morning really is this morning. Everything is behind and now is now. The world is magic and I'm so stoked.

Basically, what I'm saying is that I actually slept last night the entire night, woke up at 5:30 this morning, and it was snowing. It still is. I love the snow. I think it has to do with the fact that there is nothing I would rather be doing in life than snowboarding, and living in Michigan, I don't really get too many opportunities to do so. Snowboarding alone is not fun and no one ever has money enough to go with me. It's a depressing thing. It's almost like bowling alone.

I went to CVS at about 7 or so and bought hair dye. I need a job and I need my hair to look at least somewhat normal. Right now, I have purple and green coontails in my bangs. Those need to die, or dye rather. My wings still hurt a little, but they've scabbed over and are healing nicely. The squirrel is completely healed and looks amazing and bright. The lyrics are on their way and should be fine by the show, ACE!

After I was finished dyeing my hair, I painted my nails... finally! and chatted with my friend Libby about all the concerts and shows we need to be going to.

I watched Spartacus with my mom during dinnner, and totally fell asleep like... 5 times and half way through.

Ok, For Real This Time

So, this morning was last night and yesterday which is today.
I took a shower and then went home and played some KH2. Square Enix is love. After that, I surfed the web for a little while and then went over to my mother's at 10 to pick her up and drive her to her new apartment. I got stuck with this kinda lame lady, only then I discovered that she really wasn't all that lame after all, which was sweet. She told me that she also likes Toronto and that if I want, I can skinny dip in the pool since there aren't cameras and it's open 24/7. I was like, "Are you encouraging delinquency?" and she simply said yes. Right on.

After that, I dropped mom off and went to the tattoo parlour to pick up some tickets John had for me. While I was there, we decided that I should have some more ink. I decided I wanted something on my back. Bad decision.

I looked through a few pages, when John suggested these massive angel wings and said he'd do the outline for $50. MINT!!!! Of course I said yes. I was thinking I'd get something small... not a ridiculously expensive huge tattoo for super cheap since I only had $85 on me. I've always wanted wings, and these things are not by any means small. They cover the width of my back and go from shoulders to the end of my ribcage.

So after he drew them out and traced them, he put the outlines on my back which took a while and was an odd slimy journey. They were perfect when he got them on. Yay!! So he did the right side first. It super hurt near the bottom, less towards the top, but by no means was it a comfortable experience. After he got the first wing done, we took a break for a while and I talked on the phone to Libby. He came back and started on the second one while I was still on the phone to Libbsy. I had to hang up straight away because talking was way too much to think about when he was needling my back across my ribs.

They were awesome when they were finished. I went home and called Carol. She convinced me to come to Dracula tonight, so I told her that I would buy her two extra tickets off of her and come see it. I took a shower to wash the goo off of my back and then got dressed and went down to the theater. I bought her two tickets and spent the rest of my time hanging out with my little HS friends. I then chilled with Brian in the tech booth and stayed there until intermission. I was super tired, so I told Carol I'd see her on Sunday and I went home, not without talking to Dameon, Dan, and Kein though!!

Anyway, I have to pass out now. Seeya.

One Wingy Dingy, Two Wingy Dingy!

So... slight update.
I got wings.
They hurt.
I only have a picture of one.
But my artist is AMAZING and he did the outlines for $50 total.
WOW!

Shoes

I have far too many pairs of skate shoes.

I have a white and green pair (which are currently still stolen -_- pissed).
I have a black pair with silver skulls on them which have bright orange laces.
I have a brown and teal pair of heelys that I don't wear the wheels in.
I have a white and black pair of DC's with weaved laces.
I have a pair of vans slip ons.
I have a pair of airwalk slip ons that I stole from the donation box at culver which had belonged to my roommate.
I have a new pair of black vans lace ups.
I have a pair of bright green and black high top skate shoes with purple laces.

and I know of at least 3 other pairs of skate shoes that I've had. I had a black and white pair of vans, blue airwalks, and black and red airwalks. Probably more... but that's all I remember right now.

TOO MANY!!!!

If I Had One Wish...

This morning was last night and yesterday.
I got dressed and went to Java Hut for chai tea.
Yum.

After that, I went home because I forgot my belt and my pants were falling down. So I got my belt, then went to the adult Ed place. The door was locked, so I went and listened to the radio in my car for a while. The test was irritatingly easy again today. First was math, I did like... half the questions in my head. Then social studies, which was just pretty much annoying. After that was reading, which was laughably simple. I left 10 minutes after I was supposed to have started the reading test.

I went home and fell asleep. Then I woke up. Now I am blogging.

Today was boring. However, on a more interesting note, I discovered that Greg and Alex are weirder than I thought... and I initially thought they were weirder than myself, which is saying something.

yikes.

Change

For the first time in nine years, I can say with complete honesty, I am proud to be a citizen of the United States of America.

For the past nine years I have said that I was Canadian. Which I am as I have dual citizenship, but never once was I at all proud to be an American. I was mortified. The past four years have been even worse. If John Kerry had been elected, I could say, okay, this country made a mistake the first time they elected George Bush. But no. He was reelected for a second term. How that could happen is beyond me, but it was shameful. We got comfortable not working to make change in this country. We had Clinton for eight years. We got lazy and said, well, I guess George Bush isn't too bad. A second term used to be reserved for the best of presidents, which George Bush clearly was not. But this past year or so, we've come out of that laziness and have begun to embrace change, and I am so glad that we have. Right now, this country is in the mud, and we're slowly starting to drag it back out.

Anyway, that's just what I was thinking about when I was driving around this morning. Anyway, I woke up super early, when to Java Hut, got amazing chai tea, and then went to go take the first part of my GED test. Which I will only be taking once because I am that smart. And I didn't study. So I got there, hung out with some fellow Obama fans. Talked about a bunch of things, and then went to take my test. It was on composition and science today. I'm positive I did very well. The writing portion was awesome. Usually on writing tests, you get some dumb essay about school uniforms or whatever. I got to write an essay on who I would spend the day with if I could spend it with anyone. There is really only one answer I could ever possibly respond with when asked that question, the late great John Lennon.

After that, I came to my parents' house and filled out my job applications. Yay. I need to get a job and save at least $200 in order to move to Toronto, so I'm probably not going to be attending any shows that I don't already have tickets for, and I'm going to kiss getting inky goodbye for a while. Shame really, because my artist just lurves working on me. I'll come visit him often though. Apparently I have excellent skin.

I went to the grocery store and got a bunch of food that I can eat with my mother's $50 that she gave me for it. =] Yee. I've already spent 1/2 of my weekly 50 on that 'stein tattoo. And well spent money it was. When I got back, we hung out for a while and then went to the mall to go shopping and to return my filled out job applications. Then we went to Journey's and got some sweet shoes, and to Pac Sun for pants.

When I got home, I decided to shoot my new clothes, and while I was doing so, my tattoo artist called and said he had free show tickets for me since I'm an awesome customer and he probably didn't want them. Boss! So I'm going to see him tomorrow to pick those up.

So after that, we watched Bones and then House MD and had Tofurkey and Applesauce sandwiches. My fave! Only, now we're out of applesauce. Dammit. I'll upload pics tomorrow. I'm super lazy right now. Sorry.

Maybe It's Just The Weather

It was so, fucking worth it.

I Hate America.

It is approximately six thirty in the morning. I haven't slept, the last thing I ate was soy chicken nuggets at midnight, and I just drank two large chai teas over ice. The tattoo on my left leg is rubbing against my pants, which is so not pleasant. It is like forty degrees ferenheight if that, and I'm standing in a line outside that is not moving. I am shivering as I type this, all I have on is a tshirt and a rather thin hoodie. I couild really use one of those oh so fashionable thermals and a flannel right now as well as some sweat pants, but I'm in line and I'm not leaving now. My mother has abandoned me to go speak with her friends. This is so not fun. Yet here I stand of my own free will finally expressing my right to vote. After 18 years this is my day and I don't think I could be voting for a better candidate. This better be fucking worth it because right now, I would rather be in Dominica than here using my political influence for the first time.

It's Okay. Be An Ass.

So... last night, I was going to get those 'Stein lyrics done, only I went to the bank to discover that it was a Sunday night and my ATM card didn't work. Classy.

So I called up my mum, and she told me to deliver her cheque to her an hour away near Ann Arbor. I told her that if I did, she had to pay for my gas to go to the Silverstein show, and she agreed, which rocks. So anyway, I drive out there (while messaging people from my blackberry and driving with my knees), and when I get to my mom's friend's house, no one is home, so I have to wait on the freezing cold porch for like... an hour. Which was funnish.

So dinner there was really good. I showed my mom my new tattoo. Squirrley!!! She was like, "Stop getting tattoos!!!!" and I was like, erm... no? Before bed we watched Detroit Rock City online. I love the internet.

Anyway, I went to bed at 2 and woke up at 7:30, then stayed in bed until 8:00, until it got too annoying. So then I got up and had the rest of the soy milk for breakfast and then we left. My mother hates it when I drive with my knees, and especially when I surf the web while driving... so for sure I was doing it.

When we got back, we went to the bank and cashed her cheque. I took out an extra $100 for a tattoo, then went to pay the GED people for my test in cash due to the fact that the cheque wouldn't clear in enough time since the tests are wednesday and thursday. After that, I went to the tattoo parlor and told John what I wanted. I managed to get $60 off the original price. Go me.

Isn't it preetty with all the icky goo still on it? Yum.

After that, I went to the mall with my mum to look for jobs, which went well. There was a super cute manager at Hot Topic, and they're hiring. Squee.

So after that, we went back to my parents' house and I had dinner there and made my cat's collar before coming back home. I'm pretty tired, so I'll probably go to bed pretty soon and wake up super early.

Spit EVERYWHERE

I thought I'd just like to mention that I spat all over my computer while at http://failblog.org/
I think everyone should watch this.

Slung Ink

So... today was kinda boring. I didn't do much.

I woke up and surfed the web for a while before I decided that I really desperately needed another tattoo.

I drove down to Inkslingers and checked out the $25 book. There wasn't really anything catching my eye, but then, on the last page, there was this amazing little squirrel that I absolutely had to have. (Oh, by the way, I finally have pictures of things because I take them with my blackberry.) So anyway as I was standing at the counter waiting, I overheard a phone conversation saying that if you want a tattoo with words that's just handwriting, it's only about $25. Bitch. Yes. Silverstein lyrics here we come.

So anyway, I got this amazing little green squirrel tattooed on my ankle. It's SOOO cute! I love it with a passion. Anyway, I took a picture when it was first done and bloody. And then another a bit later at home when I had cleaned it up and put some goo on it.

And later...

Pretty, no?

So anyway, in a few days, I'm getting "I'm not going to sink" tattooed somewhere from the Silverstein song Love With Caution.

Funsies.

Oh, and also, I'm getting "I must not tell lies" on the back of my right hand in white ink so that it looks like a scar.

It's Not Real Joe

Yeah, yeah, I've been naughty not updating lately. Sorry.

My Chiodos/Silverstein tickets came in the mail the other day. I haven't been home in forever since first I was visiting mum and packing stuff and such, and now I'm babysitting the cats again. I had to stay up all night last night so that I could actually be awake to sign for a cheque. Then I went to sleep and slept until like four or so.

I called Erin to see if she wanted to go trick or treating with me. We were either going to be two general guys, Trace Cyrus and Mason Musso, or something else undecided. We ended up going as a couple from Kentucky. She was a guy with a mullet and a ridiculous fake moustache and I was rather convincingly pregnant. Which I kind of enjoyed.

We first went around Oak Park, and then to Pleasant Ridge to see Mrs. Smith, which is always fun. She was handing out Jolly Ranchers, which rocked because they're totally vegan. SCORE! Anyway, Mr. Smith wasn't there because FHS had a football game, which was super dumb because it was Halloween.

At this one house, this guy was like, "Well I can tell what you are, haha," and looking at my belly. And I was like, "What?" and made it seem like I actually was pregnant, and he was so embarrassed. It was hilarious. We wondered how many people actually thought we were pregnant.

After PR, we went to 7-11 because I wanted a slurpie. Those cravings, ya know? Haha. Anyway, after that, we went to Royal Oak where they were handing out whole big candy bars, which I really couldn't eat anyway. Apparently Erin's cute older brother Bill was somewhere around there... fun stuff.

After we were done in Royal Oak, we went to see KT and Don and stuff in Ferndale. We stayed there for a while. It was pretty funny, because KT was all poking my belly and then after a minute she was like, "Whoa, wait! Please tell me you're not actually pregnant, because that totally feels real!" Then Don came a bit later and was like, "Wait... you're pregnant?" and we all started laughing and he was so confused and finally his friend was like, "Clearly it's fake because they're all laughing."

A while later, Joe finally came. As soon as he walked over, Don goes, "Hey Joe! Jordan's pregnant!" and he's all like, "Whatt??" and he goes, "It's fake.... right? .... .... right? ... it is fake, right?" it was funnier than sin. It wasn't until we were all leaving that KT was like, "It's not real Joe." It was so mint.

After we left, we went back to Erin's and watched Juno while I sorted out my vegan candy from my non-vegan candy and gave Erin the non-vegan pile. Too bad there weren't any blue slushies to go with my Juno-ness....
