I'm The Hiphopopotamus; My Lyrics Are Bottomless... A-Hem...

So tonight my friend David and I basically did a pub crawl... or what would have been a pub crawl if I were actually of age and had a real ID. Hahaha... but I am still amazed at how many people just do not care at all that it's very clearly fake. He met me at my house while I was still doing my makeup.

We went down the street to Bistro 422 and were ID'd inside. The guy was fine with my fake Virginian ID which amused me to no end. I had half a mini pitcher of Killer Koolaid, which is like... cranberry something and melon and vodka. That stuff was good. After that we took pictures and stuff, and apparently I'm still ridiculously photogenic. WIN! Anyway, I also had a shot of Carrot Cake or something which was goldschlager and some other stuff, and a shot of sour puss after that which was amazingly good and tasted a little bit like cough medicine.

After that, we went and got some bad ass pizza at Cora's at like... not quite Bloor and Spadina or something like that, I had vegan pizza with pineapple and really great garlic bread. David and I took the streetcar back down to College and Bathurst and went to Sneaky Dee's. He had a White Russian, which I tried, it was good. I had a Long Island Ice Tea and a Cosmopolitan. We headed over to Strange Love to dance, but the bouncer sent me away; it really depends on the bouncer more than the bar. We got into this other club, but there was a cover fee, so we left.

We went to Metro/Dominion and got me food for the next few weeks. First I was walking with the shopping cart like a weirdo, then I started doing this knees up monty python-esque walk, before switching to only doing it on the left leg which made it look like a very strange involuntary twitch... until I started giggling uncontrollably about it. So basically, I looked completely insane.

As an endnote, The Killers are no longer my favourite band. They have been bumped down to second. Flight of the Conchords is the shit. Get Into It!

You Got The Teeth Of The Hydra Upon You

Today was amazing. Well... tonight was, at any rate. I had SO much fun!

Today I went to the bank and they told me that I needed a guardian's signature to open an account since I'm not 19 which was LAME. So I called Mum and she said that I should kindly request Uncle Jay to accompany me to the bank at some point in the near future to do so. I couldn't cash my check, which sucks because I have NO money. GUHFUCKMYLIFE. Anyway, after that, I went on Craig's List really quick and looked up basses. I found this uber pretty Fender sunburst bass. I want it so bad! It's $250 Canadian, so I think if I put aside $50 a week, I can buy it in no time. So great!

Anyway, Andrea gave me her rockstar + vodka lite which was pretty yummy... but it kind of tastes like bug spray or something. Oh well. Kim's boyfriend's older brother and I were talking. His name is Chris. We decided to go to Strange Love instead of Fin's, which, in my opinion, was an awesome decision!! The security guard took a glance at my fake Virginia ID, and nodded me in. I waited until after I got inside to flip out. It was so great. I'm dying to go again next Thursday.

Chris got me a vodka and cranberry juice which was yummy and then we danced for a while. I made a new friend, Rob! He's so nice. It was the funniest thing ever, he kind of fell over on me while we were dancing, and was like, "OMG, I'm SOOO sorry!!!! I had a little too much to drink." He's so adorable. I told him it would be fine as long as he gave me a hug, and he totally did. I told him how cool I thought skate4cancer is, and he gave me even more hugs! Chris decided to go home, so I hung out with Rob and his buddy Cole. Rob bought me a shot of something... I think it was rum? I dunno, it was yummy. He promised me a dance, but then he kind of disappeared, so I guess I'll have to collect it some other time. I hope he doesn't feel too hung over tomorrow. That would suck!

Anyway, I met a bunch of other really cool people. And then I took a taxi home and have NO money. Yay! Oh well. At least I have food. I'll have money soon, I'm sure. I hope to get a job soon as well. I'm working on that. After I see what's going on with the tattoo parlour, I'll either be working there, or go job hunting around. I hope I get the job!!!! Anyway, I'm probably going to watch Love Actually, and then go to SLEEP.

I LOVE TORONTO!

Give My Regards To Soul And Romance

So yesterday was pervert day in Toronto. Like seriously, I got hit on more than I did on Saturday when I wasn't wearing pants. It was ridiculous. Some creeper was like, "I like your body, can I have it?" It was totally ridiculous. Oh, and I managed to get and pop blisters while walking around exercising. Yummy.

Today I went down to Queen W. And turned in my resume at the tattoo parlour. Naturally I got a bit lost, however I ended up in a Starbucks where they charged me for a tall and gave me a grande. Sweet! Then I went grocery shopping and bought squash which I will be asking my mum about how to cook. My roomie Theresa told me about this thing where you just drink tea and forget to eat which sounds slightly anorexic, but good for fitting into ultra skinny jeans.

I think I'm just going to mellow out today, maybe unpack bags and boxes.

Who Had The Best Week Ever?

So today was the best ever. I might possibly have a job at a tattoo parlour. MAYBE.

I walked all around Queen West which is like falling down the rabbit hole.

I got a hilarious fake ID that says I'm 20 and from Virginia. Hahahahahahaha.

I decided that being sXe was a Michigan thing. All my roomies party hard and as long as I'm not smashed, I don't mind partying along with them.

We went to their old roommate's bday party and I got given some gin, a beer (which was gross so I only drank half), and a rockstar plus vodka which was epic and got me tipsy perfect.

Johnny B. Goode Tonight

So this morning I woke up to Back To The Future Part Two or something. I watched that for a while before calling Carol to see what time I should come over. She was asleep and told me to come at about four. I watched more movie and then got my lazy ass up and dressed and then went to Walgreens down the road to get trashbags. Colour coded. Ace.

I drove to Carol's and we drove around for a bit before finding a convenient park with trashcans. We took everything out of my car and then sorted through it, throwing half of it away, packing some in black bags to take with us, and putting some in white bags to leave at Mum's house.

We decided to run over to Mum's to drop off the bags. We were talking about crossing the border and Carol said something about me being a liability or something and just as she said, I fell down the basement stairs. It hurt so bad. I was like "I have to lie down. Hold on." So I limped over and fell face first onto the futon for a minute while Carol laughed her ass off. I wish I could, mine is still killing me.

We visited Moo and Lilu, and Vespa of course. She was actually friendly today instead of being a total cunt like normal. I can't wait to take Moo with me when I get my own place. I hope she'll be alive. She's a bit old.

I dropped Carol off back at her house then went home. I watched more movie and then decided to chill with Eric for a bit and watch Shang High Noon with him for a bit. Then I got tired so I went to bed, but I'm way too excited to sleep.

I'm so tired though.

Down Down Turn Around

So yesterday morning, I woke up bright and early and had to wait until 11 or so to go into the shop and get one of my wings shaded. It seemed to take forever... I hate waiting.

On the bright side though, I went in right when they opened and didn't have to wait at all. John shaded the left wing today. Yay. I took pictures during breaks. With only parts of it shaded, it looked a bit like a Da Vinci sketch... which was super sweet.

Half-done.

I got a bit bored...

Finally!

So next week I'm going in to get the other one shaded... and I'll have to give him his money at some point... $100 for each wing. I rock. I roll. I rule.

So after that, I went to my parents' house to move more of my stuff into the guest room... however, after mum left, I convinced mother that my back hurt too much to move boxes, so we should go to the cinema and see the new James Bond movie.

It was good for a movie, but not a good Bond movie. It was basically a direct sequel from Casino Royale, which is really dumb, because Bond movies are supposed to be stand alones. But oh well. The guy who had to clean the theatre was ever so glad that I brought my trash down so that he didn't have to clean it up... it's just a basic common courtesy and human duty really... pick up your shit when you're done with it.

So yeah... went to parents' house after that and watched Bones. Some lady got shoved into a microwave on an aeroplane. Gross! There was this old lady who was obsessed with murder... it was pretty funny. Anyway, after that, I was super tired and kind of felt like puking because I had too much popcorn at the movies, so I just stayed the night.

This morning when I woke up, I couldn't find my blackberry... shit? Finally I found it under the couch in the TV room. Haha, score. Anyway... I'm home right now, but after I fill out something online, it's back to mums' house to pack up. Sucky...

On a bright, shiny note though, Thomas has promised to visit me in Toronto after I move. =]

Making Christmas

I have no idea when I last updated this blog… whether it was before Friday or after. It makes a huge difference, so I guess I’ll just blog for Friday and if it turns out that I already did, I’ll just delete the section, because currently I’m sitting in Anthropology and I have no internet access. Suckage!!!!

Never mind. I just got half-way through Friday before I remembered that I had already blogged about it. Oh well…

So… Saturday I woke up bright and early, went home, packed some clothes and such, then went to pick up mum. I drove to the Walkerville station in Windsor. It smells like beer there… oh yum! I love that smell.

The train ride there wasn’t too bad. My headphones broke. Great. When we got there, it was rainy and gross. Fun… We took, a taxi to our hotel, put our stuff in the room, and then ventured out into the rain to eat yummy vegan food at Fressen on Queen West. We got there and it was totally booked up. Great…

Oh, I forgot to mention… for some reason, I was under the (mistaken) impression that it would be rather warm and balmy in Toronto, so all I brought was a sweatshirt. Fun.

We walked around in the freezing cold rain for a little while before getting a cab. The driver was from Africa or something and didn’t really speak English very well, so we basically spewed out a bunch of bull shit at him. He told my mother that I’m very pretty and look like Boy George. Great…

So anyway, we decided just to go back to the hotel and eat there. The food was pretty good and The Notebook was on TV in the restaurant. After dinner, we went upstairs and watched TV until we fell asleep.

The next morning, we had breakfast at Eaton and went out to find an internet cafĂ© and check out Craig’s List. I found a place pretty quickly and called to see when I could go check it out. It’s in an amazing neighbourhood two feet away from Yonge between College and Dundas, right down the street from Eaton and 2 underground stations.

I got the place. It’s a 4-story building with 1 porch and 2 balconies. I have 9 roommates and I’m moving in January. It’s a short walk from anywhere I could possibly want to go. After that, we went shopping at Eaton. I got 2 way cute shirts at Boathouse. One says “Kiss Me, I don’t smoke.” And the other is just really cute and has cassette tapes on it. I also got a boss new pair of green and black Skull Candy headphones; my signature accessory, as I was the first person to have a pair that I know. It’s my 4th pair… well, sort of, my 3rd pair were just ear buds. We mostly hung out in the hotel after that and watched Hancock before going to sleep.

Monday morning, we had breakfast in the hotel and then went to check out Marvel. After a terrifying subway ride, we got there. Now, I love subways, but traveling with mum and her ridiculous walker which, I have to carry up and down all the stairs with her is a pain in the fucking ass. I hate it.

The director was super nice and he really liked me. I’m so excited to start school there. He was like, “You’re kind of a funky person...” and I’m like, yeah totally, so he’s like, “Yes… I’m checking you out. You should probably work somewhere on Queen West,” and I was like, hell yeah.

So after that, we went shopping again, then I went and met with my landlord Marco. After that, I met mum back at Eaton, we went shopping more and then had some food. I found a new tattoo artist. He’s like Miss Kitty and used to work in a real shop, but now works out of his apartment. Bombass! I'm so fucking cheap... haha. So then we went back to the hotel and I forced mother to watch The Dark Knight with me as she hadn’t seen it yet.

This morning, I nearly killed mum by dropping Pieter Van Den Hoogenband’s name while she was drinking her coffee. Nice… We packed up our stuff and headed out to the train station. We got to board first since she is handi-capped. Sweetness.

The train ride was pretty boring since my internet doesn’t seem to be working… grrr!! I’ll need to get that fixed…

Anyway, I talked to Libby for a while and managed to drop my phone and pop it out of the case while I was falling over mum to get to the bathroom. I talked to Libby and Carol for a while after that before getting home. Yay home.

I only had an hour or so at home before I had to go to Anthropology, which is where I am now. On my way here, though, I called John over at Ink Slingers and checked to make sure that he is free tomorrow. He is, and I’m going over to get one of my wings shaded. Although I don’t really have the money yet, I will soon and I’ll make sure to give him half of my weekly pay each week in December. Yay! I’ll be so glad to have $100 per week instead of $50 like I have now. I’m glad he’ll do it even if I don’t quite have the money yet. He <3s me!

Anyway… this class sucks, so I’m probably going to leave and go home to upload this online and then talk to people online and be a dork. Yay! My battery is dying…

Yeah... I left class. Now I'm talking about sex with Libby and watching A Nightmare Before Christmas.

Cracked Ribs

So, this morning, I think I woke up at 3 am or so, maybe. I had to wait until 9 to go to the bank and get money, and then I left at 10. The drive was shorter than it was to Cleveland, but the distance was further... weird! I basically went through all my CD's and listened to Metro Station the whole time. I totally got lost because my GPS told me that the venue was an empty grassy hill. I had to ask some people in a gas station where it was and they directed me right to it. When I got there, I stayed in my car for a while to do my make up, which later got totally spattered and ruined and I probably looked like a total freak, but I'm sure everyone understands.

So anyway, I met some cool girls when I walked out to get in line at about 2. They were all 15 and let me sit with them. After a while, Shane, followed not so closely by Max walked into what we thought was a sports store. One of the girls and I decided to take a bathroom break then. We walked into the sports store thinking, how hard could this be? And discovered that we had just walked into a mall... dammit.

We stalked around for a little while then went to the bathroom. After, we came out and were walking back to the entrance when we saw Shane. We started giggling and whispering and turned around to find some old man right behind us who was decidedly not Shane Told. I was like, "Oh... hi." Haha. I'm such a dork. Anyway... that was fun. We decided to go into a skate shop to look at the snowboards and Max was in there. Apparently he wears glasses. Adorable. Anyway, we talked for a bit, because... I dunno... he knows me and is nice like that. His mom went to the Chicago show and got drunk or something, so that wasn't good. But we got hugs and then headed back into the line.

I was wearing shorts and got pretty cold, so this rather adorable kid gave us a blanket, then we talked for a while and he was pretty interesting. He sped up the long wait very well with stories of how the back of his van is morally dirty and he's never even done anything in it. Gross!

When it was finally time to go in, we got centre left as usual, stage right, that is. This old lady and some girl with glasses who had never been to a hxc show were right behind me. I was like, um... you realize that the crowd is not going to stay spaced like this, right? We convinced them to leave half way through A Skylit Drive, because really, it was only about to get worse. This is the craziest venue I've ever been to! For their last song, they decided it would be a great idea to announce that there should be a crowd surfing contest. Thanks...

I got pushed a little further away during Alesana... okay, I got pushed way far away, which only got worse during Escape The Fate. This adorable kid next to me was like, "Don't worry, I'll get you to your spot." It was so cute! So yeah, thank god for Craig. He decided to stand in the crowd and everyone moved right so that I was way more center than I had been before. Bomb. Ass.

It took a while for Silverstein to set up, but once they did, it was epic. Josh walked across the stage, and I was like, "JOSH! JOSH!!!!" he noticed me and waved. He's so nice, I love him! Anyway, I saw Paul and Billy backstage as well which was cool. They were sooo good though. I love this band. They played Love With Caution, as ever. Which totally rocks, because if they hadn't, I probably would have cried. During the second to last song, I got my hat and backed the fuck up out of there. I went to the back and crowd surfed my way forward. Not the best idea as it wasn't packed very much toward the back and I got dropped. However, I am amazing and naturally landed on my feet. I was like, "AGAIN, AGAIN!" so they lifted me up and launched me forward again. It was so ace.

After that, I went to the merch tables, stopping on my way to talk to Dennis of Alesana. He's nice. I got 2 t-shirts, but the hoodie I wanted was sold out... seeing as they had only started with 2 in the first place... hahaha. Anyway, I met Billy. Which basically rocked. I was like, "Can I have a hug? It would make my decade... like, the whole thing." I'm such a dork, anyway, he did give me a hug... and it was awkward because I didn't really want to let go. I asked him how many tattoos he had, and although he does know that he has them all over, he doesn't count. Which is a fine answer! Then Paul came by and gave me a high five and I told him I like the way he plays, and he signed my shirt and gave me a hug. After that, Josh came by and he totally remembers me!!! Haha, score. He's soooooooooo nice! But I already knew that. He was like, hmmm... I know you but where from? And I was like, Detroit! And he's like, "oh yeah, we talked FOREVER." And I was like, yup. He has lots of tattoos too. More than me, less than Billy. He has a tofu tattoo as well! It's adorable and a half.

After that, I saw the guy from Detroit who helped me crowd surf the first time and had been standing behind me when I first saw this concert a month ago. He and his buddy had been talking to Craig. I forgot he loves Escape The Fate. Good for him! Anyway, after talking to the guitar player from A Skylit Drive for a while, I left and went home. I think I fell asleep for like.... 2 seconds twice while I was driving, so I turned on a light and talked to some friends on the phone.

I'll be in Toronto for the entire weekend. We'll see how that goes...

Organization 13

Yesterday I hung out with my friend Robbie, and then went over to my moms' house again for a little while, then I went to Fencing. It was kind of awesome, because I showed my tattoo to Adam, and the first thing he said was "Haha! Oranization Thirteen!" although he was probably kidding. I was like, "OMG! YES!!!" Because that's exactly what it is.

Anyway, I apparently missed the written final last week since I skipped to get my tattoo done. Oh well... Anyway, we were split up into two groups, and you had to fence everyone in your group for five touches and then go report who won the match. I won all of mine, which was fun. So after that, I got to fence Aisan Dude because we were both uber bored. Sabres a-hoy. Yuss!! Of course, I sucked because I haven't been permitted to fence sabre since Culver, and he fences all the time.

Anyway, then I talked to my friend Andrew while he was on his way in and I was on my way out. After that, I went back to my parents house and watched Grey's Anatomy with mother and then watched movies.

This morning, I didn't want to wake up. So I didn't. At about 4, mother and I went to a vegan cafe down the road, and then to fedxkinkos to buy boxes. Then we got all of my clothes and put them in the living room. HUGE. ASS. PILE. So after sorting through what I actually wanted, and what is getting thrown away, and what I'm giving to the rummage sale, I started separating all the clothes that I'm keeping into boxes and such. Obviously I have to keep some of it out, but most of it will stay in boxes to go to Toronto because I really don't require that much clothing right now.

After packing for a while, I got rather tired and decided to go to bed. I can't wait to see Metro Station tomorrow!!!

Lava Cake

I really couldn’t sleep last night, so I mostly kind of dozed and when I would happen to wake up, I would reset ‘The Golden Compass’ which I kind of had running on re-run all night. At about 4 or 5, I got tired of that and put on ‘A Nightmare Before Christmas’, one of my personal favorites… naturally. At about six, I got up and had breakfast. A fake corndog, pineapples, and the five drops of my soymilk that were left since I’m pretty sure my roommates drank most of it. Thanks guys...

After that, I put some popcorn in the microwave and went and woke up my roommate because he was parked behind me, and the neighbor parks SOOO weird so I really couldn’t get out of the driveway any other way. This was about seven. So anyway, I went and brought my mom the popcorn for breakfast. On my way over, I came to realize something horribly depressing. Summer is 100% and truly over and dead. This is my 18th year and so far, it’s the best year of my life, starting from my birthday, of course.

So anyway, we chilled for a bit, then went to the health food store. I was absolutely flabbergasted to see Hillary Tamm there, because I was pretty sure she was staying at MSU until at least the end of the semester. We had a fun little chat and then my mom and I headed to the mall because I was promised 4 items of clothing and 2 pairs of shoes for my birthday in June and I still hadn’t gotten them.

We went to Hot Topic and I browsed through the gothic Tripp pants, tried some on, and remembered exactly why I don’t wear them. They look ridiculous and highly unattractive, especially on girls. So then I found this amazing bright blue pair of Tripp scene pants, which were crazy awesome. So I tried those on and decided I needed them and another pair of black ones as well. I also got a sleeveless Gir hoodie, which is totally adorable. Love em!

So after that, I popped into Forever 21 and got this sweet grey hat. Viva winter! Anyway, after that, we went to a bike store and checked out all the fixed-gear bikes. I found a totally awesome one. It’s super light and black and awesome. I won’t be able to get it until about Christmas though, but I’m super excited. It’s going to be my main mode of transport when I move to Toronto in January. That and the underground.

Anyway, after that, we came home and I made super yummy lava cakes. We ate them while watching ‘Hocus Pocus’, but I’m pretty sure I fell asleep like, half way through. Oh, and I totally skipped French class to hang out with my dorky mom. But it was so fun!

Anyway, after the movie, I took a nap until 5 or so and then we had dinner and watched ‘Sixteen Candles’. After that, I did the dishes, because I promised. I’ll probably end up staying the night, and then tomorrow Mom will come over and help me put together my dresser… finally, I’ve been putting it off.
