Family Weirdo

When I was 18, I went to the family Christmas Party at my Aunt's house.
Immediately upon entering the house, my cousin said, "You look weird.". I'm sure he meant it as an insult as he's a brat, however, I truthfully replied, "I am weird."

Actually, I did look weird.
I had a red mohawk with black and red coon-tailed bangs, and the sides of my head were blonde with black zebra stripes. I had a few tattoos, but my mouth was pretty much made of metal. Two monroes, two lower lip piercings, and two tongue piercings. And I'm sure I was dressed like some sort of scrub punk.

Anyway, my Aunt pretty much told me that I could have 2 more years to look strange and then I should start being normal.

I don't think I'll be able to manage that one.
I mean, I can pull off looking really quite normal... but let's do a run-through of past looks, shall we?

Fifteen - this was the last time I had long hair.

Sixteen - aw, look how normal!

Seventeen summer - cat orange hair, still pretty normal.

Seventeen winter - purple hair, contacts, getting weird.

Seventeen winter - pink-orange hair, it looks like a bob, but the whole back was about 2 inches all over and I had my tongue pierced. Stranger.

Seventeen spring - back to brown, but in that scene phase everyone seemed to have.

Seventeen spring - ah, the mohawk. My hair still has yet to fully recover from that.

Eighteen summer - the chelsea. I was the only girl at Culver with hair above my shoulders.

Eighteen fall - my second mohawk, purple. Angelbites. Definitely a bit odd.

Eighteen winter - yes. this was weird.

Eighteen winter - but this was rad.

Eighteen spring - a little less odd.

Nineteen summer - and then I had a wig and no piercings and looked really quite normal.

Nineteen fall - and then I didn't. Also, I didn't have eyebrows either.

Nineteen fall - at all.

Nineteen winter - but then my hair was blonde and I looked kind of normal again.

Nineteen spring - despite the bed head (which wasn't actually bed-head, it was styled), I look rather normalish here.

Nineteen summer - and then my hair was back to... it's normal colour, although shaved at the back and sides. More tattoos. Same nose piercing.

Twenty summer - blunt bangs, I looked cute.

Twenty fall - longer hair, looking pretty normal for the scene.

Twenty halloween - still rocking a growing out undercut.

Twenty winter - blunt bangs, ponytail, undercut, nosering.

Twenty winter - I think I look like Emma Watson, so I copied her pixie cut. The most normal I looked in years.

Twenty winter - I like this picture and hairstyle.

Twenty spring - pixie, nose piercing, stretching my ears out. I think this look was a good balance.

Twenty-one fall - my hair grew out all summer, and then my roommate cut it for me. Bleached eyebrows, tattoos, and check out those nearly 5/8 plugs in my ears.

Twenty-one fall - became obsessed with blink-182 for the first time since I was 9 and pierced my lip like Tom's way back when.

Twenty-one fall - blonde hair and proper 5/8 inch octopus plugs.

Twenty-one fall - mint green and blonde hair, getting longer.

Twenty-one fall - it doesn't look much different, but it's a new haircut, inspired by Tank Girl.

Twenty-one fall - briiight mint green and my mullet has become long enough for a ponytail.

Twenty-one winter - back to white blonde and the front was long enough for a pompadour!

Twenty-one winter - loving Yo-Landi Vi$$er has lead me to cut blunt bangs and bleach my eyebrows.

Same

Same

Twenty-one winter - I love Lisbeth Salander.

Twenty-one winter - and then I remembered I have extensions.

Twenty-one winter - but I don't always wear them. Or shirts. But I did get my tongue and lip pierced.

Twenty-one winter - vertically. Through my philtrum. Which is called a Jestrum. Or, a vertical philtrum piercing. It took a whole week for the swelling to go down.

Twenty-one winter - my hair is strange and brown and I play in the mud.

Twenty-one winter - I've decided to start colouring my eyebrows fun colours. Like pink.

Twenty-one winter - And turquoise. Tomorrow will be blue.

I need to cut my hair. Probably today.

I've come to the conclusion that I'm probably always going to be the family weirdo, but I'm pretty okay with it because I really like how I look, and other people seem to as well. Which is nice, but not required.

Anyway, this has been a picture post.

NuHair

I realize that I probably at some point in the recent past said that a. I wasn't going to change my hair any time soon, b. was never going blonde again, and c. would colour my hair dark red next. I guess I lied. I'm bleaching it out to white again. But this will take a while since it was black and then orange... so it's got bits of orange still in it. But every time I bleach it, it gets lighter, so this is good. Just bleach and bleach and tone and tone and bleach and tone. So here's where I'm at right now.

Just... Why????

I have such serious issues with this dude's hair that it's not even funny and I don't think you'd understand.

Like... really?

Really???

...really. =/

So. Bad.

Because SOMEONE Stole My Last Pair...

Today I got a new pair of $10 wayfarers because someone stole my last pair from behind the merch table at a Silverstein show. Also. My hair got longer. Yay.

Fucking Mice... Jesus.

Ever try and talk to one of those people who talks like a mouse? High pitched voice, doesn't talk loud enough... yeah. Mix that with timid and picky and you've got the client I had today. What an annoying little priss. She was asian and therefore obviously had pinstraight black hair... she brought in a picture of some white girl with average/fine hair and said she wanted it cut like that. Like seriously, if you want a hairstyle, stick with your own hair type!! The teacher didn't even know what she was saying when she talked. God.

The picture is the only reason I knew what she wanted at all... and then I asked how much she wanted off since the picture girl's hair was like... 9 inches long maybe, and the girl's hair was way longer. She said she wanted to keep the length, so I was like, alright, that's fine, just add in layers. So I got my teacher to come over and look at this girl's hair, etc. and then the girl decided she wanted me to cut an inch off... which still won't make her hair look like the girl in the picture's!!! Gah.

So anyway, I cut this girl's hair... cut my finger open while texturizing her bangs, because, "THEY'RE STILL TOO BLUNT!!!" even though they were just like the picture's. This girl drove me batty. And then for the blowdry, she was like, I want it straight, but with volume... ASIAN HAIR LIKE THAT DOESN'T FREAKING DO VOLUME!!! Sigh. People.

On a happy note, Stephanie was fiddling around with a comb and got it knotted in her bangs so that was entertaining to watch it get cut out without having to cut her actual hair. And then there was a cute boy on the subway who I talked to.

Maccas

Last night I was at McDonald's with some friends, and this guy at a table near ours started discretely attempting to get my attention. Epic Fail. It's hard to get my attention when you're being loud. Anyway, apparently I look like the kind of raver-type person who does E. He was whispering over to me from 2 tables away "Do you have any ecstacy?" and I finally got it and really loudly asked, "Do I have any ecstasy????" Everyone got up from the table and left really quickly all through different doors. One guy walked past and was like, "Shit, don't say stuff like that so loud, wtf?" and I was like, well you asked!!!"

Over all, it was the highlight of my weekend.

Oh. Also. At school. I got a haircut.

My Hair Looks Like Cotton Candy, My Heart Is Made Of Sequins

Today was a pretty lazy sunday. We had a new roommie move in. She's pretty cool and super nice, her name is Shayna and she lives in Melissa's old... closet, for lack of a better word. I put more pink in my hair and now it looks more like I wanted it to originally.

I've got a new TV obsession snce Andrea showed Shayna and I how to work the TV. Its one of those race type reality shows and its SO hilarious. I was like, dying the whole time we were watching it. It was amaaaazing. I can't wait to watch it again next week.

Totally pissed an a half about the Silverstein show in Burlington being 19+ grrrrr... Who the fuck plays 19+ shows, like really??!!? Screwwy.

A bunch of the girls and I sat around laughing earlier, but now its fast approaching bed time, so its mostly quiet.

Also, this is the first update from my new phone since the internet is down as usual.

Oscar Special: 2009

My appologies for the lack of updates as of late. Not much of interest has happened lately. Oh, my hair changed colours again as per usual. Its blonde and cotton candy pink.

Best Picture: Slumdog Millionaire
My thoughts: I think that The Curious Case of Benjamin Button should have won. It was an amazing movie, and yeah, okay, maybe the only one I saw, but still.

Best Actress: Kate Winslet
My thoughts: Way to go Kate! Not only is she a positive rollmodel for girls everywhere and stunningly gorgeous; Kate is amazing in nearly everything she does. I have never seen a movie where I disliked her acting.

Best Supporting Actor: Heath Ledger
My thoughts: He totally deserved it. A moment of silence fo him please.

Best Makeup: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
My thoughts: This was the clear winner. The prosthetics were flawlessly done and Pitt de-aged seamlessly. Very impressive and definitely Oscar worthy.

Apparently I sleep with the european masses. The London schoolchildren, and the Moscow partiers.
