Best. Ever.

Here. Now. Read.

FrankenMac Is Back

This computer is insane. I swear. It really is FrankenMac... I should get it some stickers for being good to me. Something better than The White Tie Affair.

Speaking of stickers, I should also get some for my new bass. Oh how I love it. It really is pathetically easy to be okay at it. Unlike drums... I still sound like Meg White, however, when I get some space, I'll work on that. For now though, it's just my bass and I... also my french horn, but I'm not so sure my roomies would appreciate me actually playing it, so I'll stick to fingering. God that sounds dirty.

Tabs are my new favourite thing. As is 12:51 by The Strokes. Click it to check it out and download it if you want. I can now play 2 songs on the bass. Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes, and 12:51. Working on more. Come to think of it, I can probably play Seven Nation Army on the drums too, and I can sing it.

Yesterday, I found that my friend Rob did me a hilarious favour. There is an injoke that a bunch of friends and I have, so I made an album to go with our fake band. He put it up on his blog, so anyone can download the single.

Friday was a fun day. I called my friend David bright and early and he came over and we went and got pizza and tried out KFCCanada's new vegetarian sandwiches. We hung out for a while, then he went to class, but he was back later, so we hung out more and made uh... songs? on my computer. Funniest thing ever. We've decided we need a myspace and an album cover.

Hot,pInk.cUnt's single and remix can be found here.

People Are Strange

For once, the title lyrics actually apply. The past few days have been full of total weirdos.

So Tuesday I was up dark and early. I went down to Queen W to walk around and window shop, but everything was closed. Lame.

I went to a store to buy some gum and I was talking to my friend Tom on the phone trying to decide what flavours I should get and the sales lady starts screaming at me for wasting her time. It was ridiculous, I wasn't even at the counter. Wtf...

Anyway, after that, I took the street car back to Church, but I wasn't paying attention to the stops and ended up in the sketchy end near old town, which basically looks like the nicer areas of Highland Park. Super ghetto. I got out of there fast and walked up Church, stopping at pawn shops along the way to see if they bought snowboards.

I ended up in a shop with a rather sketchy russian man. They didn't buy snowboards, cameras, or computers. He asked how much money I needed ($200) and he was like "Oh... I might have it... In the back... In my office." And I'm fairly certain he was implying that I have sex with him. I didn't want to be rude and just flat out leave. He asked my name, I told him, he thought it was sexy and asked if I had a boyfriend. Of course I said yes, and then I left because I had to call said boyfriend right away... Eeeeeewwwww super creepy.

This morning, I managed to sell my snowboard!!! I went to Western Union to get my rent money and on my way there, I got hit on... And asked if I had a boyfriend. Of course I said yes. I got the money, dropped it off at home, and then went down to Steve's on QWest.

On the street car, some lady asked the guy across from me if he had "any crack on" him. OMG. He was just like, "nope." And she continued walking. I was in fits of giggles. I went to Steve's and met the coolest dude ever. He was soooo super nice. He helped me get my bass and stuff.

Its the prettiest thing ever. I'm totally in love with it. Anyway, I spent the whole afternoon and evening messing around with it.

Someone was basically leaning on the buzzer... I checked out the security monitor and it was some cracked out hobo with a shovel. Caitlin, Sam, and I were wigging out about it because he was clearly nuts and wanted to be paid for shoveling our walk... Which we asked him not to do as we could ourselves and he had stolen our shovel.

He stood at the door for 10 minutes and then slammed on it with his hand. He then walked down the stairs and shoveled a bunch of snow onto our porch. It was SO funny. But at the same time, we were terrified he would get mad and hit someone with the shovel.

This city is so nuts. I love it.

Going, Going, Dead

My computer died yesterday, but I'm only now getting around to calling time of death. After 16 hours or so of CPR and attempting to pry my files from its cold dead fingers, I realize that neither of these things are likely to happen. I have no means of word processing, none of my newest music that didn't make it onto my shitty iPod, no way to headbang away my frustrations, because guess who has my Rammstein? Not my iPod!

Oh, How I Love Thee

Bang, Boom, The beat
My baby is the bang, the boom, the beat

Bang, Boom, The beat
My baby is the bang, the boom, the beat

Bang, Boom, The beat
My baby is the bang, the boom, the beat

My boyfriend is music
My boyfriend is music
Yeah,
Music is my boyfriend
He never takes the pressure off

My boyfriend is music
My boyfriend is music
Yeah,
Music is my boyfriend
He never takes the pressure off

Hello
the beat says hello
He knows I'm gonna follow
My headphones are on-a
His low wind is thumpin'
Just me and him bumpin'
The walls they are watchin'
I'm turing red blushin'
You know that

I don't need no silly boys
I just need my boyfriend
I don't need no silly boys
I just need my boyfriend
Don't you know
Don't you know that

My boyfriend is bang, the boom, the beat
He's beatin' down the door to get to me
Yeah music is the shock, the shake, the shit
The needle in the groove, the grind, the grit
My boyfriend is music

My boyfriend is music
My boyfriend is music
Yeah,
Music is my boyfriend
He never takes the pressure off

My boyfriend is music
My boyfriend is music
Yeah,
Music is my boyfriend
He never takes the pressure off

Get up to go shower
I'm dancing for hours
He knows the way I like it
He knows just how I want it
He sees my hips swayin'
The moment beats layin'
It's inside my body
My boyfriends a hottie
You know that

I don't need no silly boys
I just need my boyfriend
I don't need no silly boys
I just need my boyfriend
Don't you know
Don't you know that

My boyfriend is bang, the boom, the beat
He's beatin' down the door to get to me
Yeah music is the shock, the shake, the shit
The needle in the groove, the grind, the grit
My boyfriend is music

He's making me lose it
I'll sing along lalalalala
My boyfriend is music
He's making me lose it
I'll sing along lalalalala
Lalalalala
I'll sing along lalalala
My boyfriend is music
He's making me lose it
I'll sing along lalalala

Bang, the boom the beat
He's beatin' down the door to get to me
You know that he's the shock, the shake, the shit
The needle in the groove, the grind, the grit

My boyfriend is bang, the boom, the beat
He's beatin' down the door to get to me
Yeah music is the shock, the shake, the shit
The needle in the groove, the grind, the grit
My boyfriend is grit
My boyfriend is grit
My boyfriend is music
